Coversion to Christianity in India
Let alone a pastor, even the Pope could not turn blind eyes to such a golden opportunity to add a soul to his kitty. The incident I’m referring to is the following. When the late Kanchi acharya was approached by a Christian who confessed his interest in shifting to the faith of Hinduism, the Centurion was believed to have said that it would not be necessary and that there was enough good in his present revered path to reach God. Granted that India and Hinduism (that accounts for a majority of its population) are built on the foundations of supreme and paramount religious tolerance, their exploitation by missionaries in uncalled for.
When Hinduism claims of showing just one path towards eternity and seeks mutual acceptance of all faiths, the philistine and frivolous views exhibited by Christians, only reveals the intellect of a sheep as is claimed :P. When Islam prohibits the preaching of other religions in its holiest of places, we have missionaries preaching at Tirupathi! I am not praising their audacity but condemning their insolence towards Hindu religious sentiments. Not to mention our benevolent and immaculate politicians who would vouch for the cause of the minority vote banks - The Bank that never fails!
It is claimed that people willfully get converted to Christianity realizing the true path towards God. However its astounding that hundreds of people are so enlightened at the same point in time, to succumb themselves to the only true faith on the face of the earth. Sure is a work of God! I also find it uncanny that its only the people in the lower rungs of society, the poor and the impoverished who get this internal illumination all of a sudden in their life. It not only dawns upon the beggarly man but also his wife and kids who could not pronounce cat! It is unlawful to convert people into other faith by way of allurement, money or other perquisites.
Speaking of it, one should tune in to the Pope’s channel to listen to the pearls of wisdom shed on the banes of conversion. The biggest problem to him in the coming era is the conversion of people to Islam in Europe! When one’s cattle could happily graze the pastures of the neighbor, its noxious when the favor is curtly returned. How Just! With this, I rest my case. Amen.

The Colosseum
The Colosseum is one of the awe-inspiring architectural marvels given by the Romans to the world. The Colosseum served as an amphi-theater for staging gladiatorial spectacles that were witnessed by the highly ranked Romans and other citizens.
The Colosseum was commenced by Vespasian and inaugurated by Titus in 80AD. The plan of the Colosseum was an ellipse measuring 188mx156m. It was designed to hold 50000 spectators and it is believed that some of the ideas incorporated in the design of the Colosseum are from the ‘Theatre of Marcellus’. The Colosseum has eighty radial walls which are reflected in the exterior as the three tiers of arcades. There is direct access to the first two tiers of seating corresponding inside while the third tier, separated from the other two tiers create the innermost level. Underneath the main space used for sports, there are passageways and dens required for the animals that were used at the arena. The columns on the exterior were doric, ionic and corinthian in the first, second and third storeys respectively. Above these storeys, there is a deep attic storey with a square window in alternate bays. A canopy called ‘velarium’ was built at the top to provide shade.
The Colosseum now stands ruptured due to earthquake and extraction of construction materials from it in the past, that were used for building other structures. The seats were originally made of marble and timber which have also worn out. It is being preserved with great care now as a building of immense historical and aesthetic values.

Coming back to the Obamaites on the internet, they are everywhere and as election day is coming closer, they run from Pillar to (blog)post singing his glory and seeking support. However, the point to be noted here is that people do this by choice as they yearn for the change. But why do people beleive in Obama? The reason? No prizes for guessing, His charisma and his ability to empathize and relate to people from all communities.
The Verdict: Obama is the right brand ambassador for United States of America to keep the “star spangled banner” flying high in the hearts of people around the world. As for the netizens, keep rooting for the change you beleive in!!

India’s first moon mission
India’s maiden mission to the moon Chandrayaan -1, blasted off from earth today morning from the Satish Dhawan Space centre in Sriharikota off Andhra Pradesh coast. Chandrayaan means “Moon Craft” in ancient Sanskrit. It blasted off at 6.20 am on the modified Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). Chandrayaan will go to the moon and orbit it for the next two years. Chandrayaan will join Japan and China’s spacecrafts to map the surface of the moon for laying the groundwork for future Indian space missions. Let us wish India all the best on their first ever voyage to the moon.
