G1 gets 1.5 million preorders

There is a tip off to the media that Google’s first and all new G1 mobile has bagged 1.5 million preorders! This demand happand to be thrice the number of phones that T-mobile ordered from HTC - the Taiwan based cell phone maker. The T-Mobiles G1 is slated for its launch with grandeur on October 22, 2008.

The G1 flaunts the introduction of Google’s indigenous Operation System - Android. The inception of the Android and G1 are a major threat tech rivals Microsoft and Apple. The G1 is expected to give stiff competition to the Apple’s iPhone. Although the G1 has a few drawbacks with its ill featured camera and not so user friendly navigation, its ease in software adaptability, the qwerty keyboard and free software sharing are its highlights. The introduction of the Open Source Android marks a new era in the Computer and Telco worlds alike!

New Google Guy:Hubert Chang??

Recent claims made by Hubert Chang has caused huge ripples in blogosphere. Every blogger wants to write his own version of Hubert Chang and his association with google. Nowadays, anything with brand Google on it seems to sell and bloggers are not far behind while capitalizing on it. Now talking about Hubert chang, lets not judge him by his looks, education or his sanity,or rather lack of it, but lets focus on what he has been doing all these years and why this sudden revelation about his past.

Hubet chang Claims in his video that he asked his name to be left out of the paper about Page Rank, sumitted by Larry and Sergey. The reason he gives for this is that he did not want to be associated with anything that would distract him while pursuing his Phd. Well, that’s a lost opportunity dude!! Rival Search provider Yahoo! founders Jerry Yang and David Filo must have gone through the same feeling that Hubert Chang is going through now. The Yahoo founders were approached by Larry and Sergey with proposals for a new search engine based on Page Rank, unfortunately the Yahoo guys were not as enthusiastic about it as they are today. 

As for Hubert Chang, the Yahoo guys and millions of people around the world who took a bad choice or took the wrong turn in life, Isn’t it true  that “When Opportunity knocks, we are either out, or sleeping in!!”.

Google Ads on TV

That’s their next master plan. They will conquer the TV advertising platform as well. They already had NBC and Dish. Now, they add Bloombery Television to their inventory. Google in collaboration with Bloomberg television will make advertising time available in the U.S. through Google TV Ads Platform. By using the Google TV Ads platform, advertisers can reach the Bloomberg Televison U.S. audience and get viewership data at an unprecedented scale. With this data, the advertisers can receive updates on their campaigns in seconds and make appropriate changes to attract more viewers in the future.
